Blue Butterflies - First Embossing Attempt

Hello my Crafty Friends!

Today I have a card where I have tried embossing for the first time and it wasn't a success in first attempt. The hand lettering was a big failure.
Still I didnt discard my card in trash. I completed it and here it is for display.

I stamped the butterflies and colour them with my favorite watercolours. The sentiment I wrote freehand with VersaMarker watercolour pen and tried to emboss where the powder didnt get melted and I removed it in my nervousness. I wrote it again with black marker. Embossing was same in butterflies too. But with all my courage I tried again on butterflies and this time I was happy with the result. And learnt a lesson that sentiments in small size might not be possible to emboss without stamping.

I adhere my base card sheet on blue card stock and again on white cardstock to finish it.

I know it's not a perfect card still want to enter my card in few Challenges :

(birthday card, blue color, emboss)

Thanks for visiting. Hugs Priyanka

  1. Glad you posted your card even if it wasn't 100% what you wanted - art is so forgiving of our learning curves! I love the shine on the butterflies wings. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

  3. Your butterflies are so pretty. And, I think one of the charming aspects of a hand made card are the imperfections. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology.
