Better Half : Card

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card which i made to participate in one the challenges which i found quite interesting. The Towfer Card Challenge #24 ~ Fruit, the challenge is to create two different cards, two different occasions using the same stamp/stencil. So i have used the same stencil and stamp in this card also as the previous ATCs.

Card 1
To create the background I have used one the stencil from my UW stencil collection and the 'bundled sage' distress ink from Ranger. As I told in my previous post I dont have any fruit stamp, so the fruit and leaves images are hand drawn to be matched with my Fruit ATCs. All images are coloured with my Camel Artists' Water Colour Cakes again and are hand cut. The main sentiment is handwritten and Hello is hand stamped with one of my clear stamps collection.

Card 2 : ATC
For  this ATC I have used white heavy card stock. To create background I have used stencil and Ranger's mini distress inks of two colours, yellow and green. I have distressed the edges and used my script stamp to create more interest in the background. I don't have any fruit stamps so the lemons are hand drawn on a separate card stock. To colour the images I have used my Camel Artists' water colour cakes. I did fussy cutting of lemons and pasted on ATC. Sentiment "hello" is hand stamped from an clear stamp set. For "summer" I have used alphabet clear rubber stamps. To finish the ATCs I have embellished it with some light golden gems.

Hope i have done justice with challenge by making two different cards but with same stencil and stamp. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs Priyanka.

Hello Summer - ATC

Hi friends

Today I have another pair of Artist Trading Cards based on FRUIT theme. I love eating fruits, specially in summers so fruits remind me of summers. In Bengaluru summer is approaching fast, so "HELLO SUMMER"

For  these ATCs I have used white heavy card stock. To create background I have used different stencils for both of the cards and used Ranger's distress inks. I have distressed the edges and used my script stamp to create more interest in the background. I don't have any fruit stamps so again the lemons are hand drawn on a separate card stock.

I liked the complete outlook of these fruit Atcs. Hope you will also like it.

Thanks for stopping by. Love Priyanka.

Fruits ATC

Happy Sunday to all,

Today I created these cute Artist Trading Cards on fruit theme. Each card has different fruit and related sentiment on it and each card is water coloured in relevant colours.

All three fruit images are hand drawn and I have used Camel Artists' Water Colour cakes to brush colour the all 3 ATCs. To create the background I have used random brush strokes of the same colour of fruit image. The sentiments are handwritten (could be much more better, but I used my new Faber Castell marker and found its tip quite thick)

These ATCs are quite simple but I liked the vibrant colours used in it. my favourite is the watermelon one. Hope you also like these fruity ATCs.

I was inspired by the current ATC challenge of Happy Little Stampers.

Wooden Coasters

Hello everyone,

Today is Friday and its a kid's Craft Day. And today my young crafters created these pretty wooden coasters under my guidance. I loved them so much that I couldn't resist to share it here.

So here is the detailed process :
  1. Cut the wooden round craft sticks into half, of course I did it for them.
  2. Cut a square piece of stick size out of EVA foam.
  3. Paste the sticks on EVA foam with white glue and let it get dry.
  4. Now draw your desired shape on it like heart or strawberry on it.
  5. Fill suitable acrylic paint in the drawn image.
  6. Print any script/sentiment stamp here and there in the background.
  7. Distress the edges with brown acrylic colour.
  8. Secure it with varnish.

Believe me its super easy and super fun for kids to make these coasters. My students enjoyed making them. KUDOS to both of them.

Bright and Beautiful

Good morning  my crafty friends,

Today I have come up with my new card. This card has a monochromatic colour scheme of PINK. This is my second creation in pink recently.

The flowers on the card are hand drawn and water coloured with water colour cakes. To create the background I have used distress ink on geometrical stencil of UW scrapbooking which I bought from Malaysia long back.

For the sentiment I have used my classical wooden stamp set. I added small pink gems on the flowers and in the background here and there to finish the card. Hope you like my card.

Leave your comments and love. Priyanka.

Be Mine

Hi everyone,

Here is my another Valentine's day special project - "Be Mine" red heart fridge magnets.

This is made of airdry clay and painted with acrylic colours. For cutting the heart I used heart cookie cutter. Stitching I created with normal pin. The sentiment is hand written with black marker and the complete magnet is secured with varnish coat.

LOVE

Hi everyone

February is the month of love and Valentine's day just passed away. My Valentine special creation was these cute small "L.O.V.E" fridge magnets which are again done in airdry clay and painted in pink and white pastel combination. The flower embellishment is of clay only, and the tiny polka dots are done freehand with acrylic colours. It was pack in paper box which I distressed with ink. I used script stamp here and there on the box and embellished it with paper flower and leaves.

The other main feature of these cute magnet set is it can be displayed in different ways.

I got great respond for these magnets and one of my client requested same magnets for her name.

Hope you also like these magnets. Leave some love. Hugs, Priyanka.

Dinosaurs !!!

Hello all,

January was a break for me from craft, as I had guests at my home and it was my younger son's birthday month. I could not stay completely out of craft as I crave for it. All my creativity came out in the birthday preparations for the DINOSAUR theme party of my son. He is mad for dinosaurs...

Here I wanna share few of the things. Firstly I'll share the cake pics which was done completely by me. It included dinosaurs, an erupting volcano, giant trees and few rocks to go with the theme.

Next thing what I did was the decoration of party favours bags. I cut out coloured papers dinosaurs with the help of stencils and pasted it on brown paper bags. I set colour codes for party bags, BLUE & GREEN dinosaurs for boys, RED, ORANGE and PINK for girls, LIGHT BLUE for adults, 2 dinosaurs for siblings as all contained different gifts inside.

I don't have the closeups of all kind of bags. The girls' bags are here...
